Submission Privacy Notice
Information collected
The portal collects artist name, song title, TikTok handle, email address, optional listening notes, electronic signature, rights and consent records, technical security information, submission timestamps, and the MP3 or WAV you upload.
How information is used
Information is used to receive and organize submissions, operate the public queue, review or play music during a LIVE, communicate about a submission, document permissions, protect the service, and manage possible playlist consideration.
Public information
Only artist name, song title, submission time, queue position, and Waiting/Played status may appear publicly. Contact information, legal name, the audio file, internal notes, and playlist decisions remain private.
Audio retention
Every submitted MP3 and WAV is automatically deleted from active file storage within 24 hours of submission. My Mistaken Melody does not keep a separate copy of the submitted music file. Non-audio submission records may be retained to document permission, manage reviews and playlist history, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Service providers
Private information is processed using contracted infrastructure and authentication providers supporting hosting, private file storage, database services, and account security. Access is limited to authorized administrative use.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible retained information through the contact form at mymistakenmelody.com. Some records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, legal claims, or documenting the permission granted with a submission.
Security
The portal uses private storage, encrypted connections, owner-only authentication, access controls, rate and capacity restrictions, and audit records. No internet service can promise absolute security.
